Reverse Biological Aging & Cognitive Decline | HBOT Program
How aging affects performance?
Our bodies become less efficient at channeling oxygen as we age, which is why our mental and physical performance decreases over time. The good news is we no longer have to accept this decline.
At DPWorld’s Brain & Performance Centre Dubai, we see aging as a disease that can be treated. With the latest innovations in oxygen treatment, you can stay at your peak for longer – and even reverse some aspects of your biological age.
What happens to our body and mind as we age:
Read MoreAging and cognitive performance
Our mental abilities usually begin to decline when we reach our thirties. As we age, we might find it harder to recall things, remember words, sustain attention, solve problems, and multitask. In the later stages of life, this decline in cognitive ability can eventually lead to dementia.
Aging and physical performance
We become less able to perform physical activities as we get older because our bodies lose muscle mass and power, and gain fat tissue. Nerve conduction decreases, making our muscles less responsive. And our lung capacity and cardiac function decreases, making it harder to stay active and exercise.
Hallmarks of the aging process
- Body tissues lack oxygen
Arteries become narrower, restricting the blood flow and oxygen supply to vital organs – a condition known as atherosclerosis. - Mitochondria dysfunction
Mitochondria are parts of our cells that generate energy for the body. They become less efficient and decrease in number as we age. - Stem cell exhaustion
Stem cells repair damage in our bodies. The number of stem cells we have decreases as we age, and those we do have become less efficient at regenerating our damaged tissue. - Shortened telomeres
Our DNA cells are constantly dividing. Telomeres are the protective caps at the end of each strand of DNA. They gradually become shorter as we get older, and eventually become so short the cell can no longer divide. These are known as senescent cells, and are one of the leading causes of aging.

Enhancing performance with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
We have created the first-of-its-kind medical treatment that triggers the body’s natural process of regeneration and reverses some effects of aging. Based on a unique Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) protocols, our treatment is for anyone who wants to regain their peak performance in mind and body – and maintain it for longer.
HBOT involves breathing 100% pure oxygen in a special chamber known as a HBOT suite. This, combined with the elevated pressure in the suite increases the amount of oxygen in the blood several fold, which helps damaged tissue regenerate and heal faster.
The Brain & Performance Program combines two processes that can help treat aging and functional decline. We increase the oxygen levels in the body, giving your brain and body an energy boost while fluctuating the level of oxygen you breathe. This variation in oxygen supply triggers the body’s natural mechanisms of regeneration.
Benefits of the Brain & Performance Program
Benefits for your mind:
- Better brain connectivity and function (the general health of your brain and how it controls thoughts and feelings)
- Stronger mental ability, including memory, attention and focus
- Faster information processing speed (how quickly we complete mental tasks)
- Sharper executive functions (the set of complex mental skills that allow us to think flexibly, make decisions, and exercise self-control)
- Improved mood
Benefits for your body:
- Better physical performance: Fitness, Strength, Coordination, Balance
- Boosted energy, power and stamina
- Reduced pain (strong anti-inflammatory effect)
- Sleep better
- Improved sexual performance (for men)
Benefits for your cells:
- Strengthen your immune system
- Encourage stem cells - the building blocks of tissue rejuvenation – to multiply and migrate
- Lengthen the telomeres - the protective caps at the end of each strand of DNA. Encouraging telomeres to lengthen is associated with extending our biological clock
- Reduce senescent cells - known to contribute to many age-related diseases
- Increase mitochondrial function - the power plant in each of our cells

How it works
The Brain & Performance Protocol is based on over a decade of research at Shamir Medical Center with proven clinical results. Our program includes:
-
In-depth medical assessment
A three-day comprehensive medical, physiological and mental assessment conducted by Brain & Performance Centre certified medical staff including physicians, neuropsychologists, physiotherapists, physiologists and nurses.
We carry out brain imaging tests and a complete a range of cognitive, physiological and nutritional assessments. -
A unique treatment including HBOT protocol
You’ll have HBOT sessions five days a week for 12 weeks – 60 consecutive two-hour sessions in total.
Alongside your HBOT sessions, your dedicated medical team will coach you through a personalized brain and physical training program and nutritional regime to maximize the effects of the oxygen treatments. -
Post-treatment assessment
At the end of your treatment, we repeat the tests from the initial assessment to measure results objectively and make recommendations for your ongoing progress.
We’ll give you a comprehensive medical report summarizing all of the changes that occurred throughout your treatment, supervised and signed by your professional healthcare team led by our Chief Medical Doctor.
