New Global Aging Consortium
The Global Aging Consortium, established by the Aviv Medical Advisory Board, in 2022 includes some of the world’s greatest minds in the field of aging. These researchers have a specific goal – to assist others in living longer, healthier, and more content lives. Through maximizing advanced treatments and forging new pathways to long-term health globally, the Consortium aims to delay aging and the onset of age-related diseases and ailments.
Together, this exclusive panel of leaders has committed to developing practical, proven solutions to treat the aging process, delay aging diseases and expand healthspan. They bring together decades of knowledge, research and medical expertise in genetics, epigenetics, epidemiology, immunology, pharmacology, neurology and nutrition to leverage practical, long-term solutions for the world’s fastest-growing epidemic: Aging.

The Global Aging Consortium's Internationally Recognized Researchers:
Dr. Eric Verdin
President and CEO of the Buck Institute for Research on Aging. Professor at the Leonard Davis School of Gerontology at the University of Southern California. Professor at the University of California, San Francisco. Owner of 18+ patents.
“Over the past 25 years we’ve seen a dramatic acceleration of our understanding of the aging process. We’re now at a crucial transition period where we can take all of this knowledge and start deploying it in humans. We now have the potential to intervene directly in the human aging process.”
Watch the videoDr. Nir Barzilai
Founding Director of the Institute for Aging Research at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Director of the Paul F. Glenn Center for the Biology of Human Aging Research and of the National Institutes of Health’s Nathan Shock Centers. Discovered the longevity gene in humans.
“This effort is part of a wave of researchers who are working together to target healthspan and aging to prevent diseases and not just treat them when they appear. Aging can be modulated, and even prevented.”
Watch the videoDr. Michael Roizen
Chief Wellness Officer Emeritus and founding Chair of the Wellness Institute at Cleveland Clinic.
Author of “The Great Age Reboot” and numerous other New York Times best-selling books.
Developer of the “RealAge” program.
Watch the videoDr. Joseph Maroon
Vice President of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. Vice Chairman of the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Team Neurosurgeon for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Dr. Joseph Maroon, 82, has been a neurosurgeon for many years and is living proof of just how effective aging treatments can be. As well as studying the effects of hyperbaric oxygen therapy on cognition and performance, Dr. Maroon utilizes HBOT to improve his physical and cognitive performance, winning his age group in triathlons and placing first in the Chicago triathlon and second in the Senior Olympics this year.
“I know how achievable this is because I’ve lived it… I’m healthier, more content, and remain very productive in my 80’s as I was in my 50’s. As a group, and by example, we can accelerate the adoption of what we know works and make it available and accessible to everyone.”
Watch the videoDr. Shai Efrati
Director of the Sagol Center for Hyperbaric Medicine and Research at the Shamir Medical Center. Professor at Sackler School of Medicine. Co-Founder of Aviv Scientific and Chair of Aviv Medical Advisory Board.
“Age-related cognitive and functional decline is the number one threat to Western society. We’re not simply focused on longevity; we want to slow down the aging process to fundamentally change how people age, as well as promoting lifestyle changes that are the most influential in impacting healthy aging”.
Amir Hadanny, MD, PhD
Chief Medical Officer and Head of Research at Aviv Clinics.
Dr. Hadanny is a certified neurosurgeon, hyperbaric physician, and Chief Medical Research Officer at the Sagol Center. For the past decade, Dr. Hadanny has been researching neurorehabilitation, neuroplasticity and physiology, publishing more than 70 papers on the effects of HBOT on cognitive and physical performance.
“In the pursuit of understanding aging and longevity, research serves as the compass navigating the intricate terrain of cellular dynamics, genetics and environment influences. It is through meticulous exploration that we unravel the mysteries underlying this delicate interplay and possible ways to intervene.”
